To Dallas Smith, country music has always been about the “special combination of a voice and song.” After spending nearly 10 years fronting Default, Smith is stepping out on his own, into the world of Country.
Born and raised in the backwoods of northern Ontario, Barry Miles does his best to pay tribute to Willie and Waylon and the boys by putting his songwriting first, though some slick guitar pickin ain't too far behind.
The Sheepdogs built their name on hard work and determination. Having funded their first three albums and early years of touring on their own, this rock and roll band’s momentum began to build exponentially with the release of the 2010 album, Learn & Burn.
Monster Truck put together 12 original songs showcasing not only their determination to continue churning out heart-pounding rock tracks, but that also highlighted another dimension to the band’s songwriting and performance. The result is their debut full-length LP aptly titled Furiosity.
Alan Doyle, Sean McCann and Bob Hallett have somehow managed to keep the dysfunctional-family-bar-room-brawl-student-art-project-musical-pirate-crew known as Great Big Sea going for two decades. And more often than not, they have done it with more than a bit of flair.
