The Sudbury Transit SummerFest Shuttle Service will operate Friday, August 28, Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30 from 7:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
The shuttle service will start at the New Sudbury Shopping Centre travel to Bell Park then travel to Plaza 69 and return to Bell Park.

Last week, Sudbury Summerfest promised festival goers that another incredible Canadian band would be added to our stellar line-up.
This week, Sudbury Summerfest is proud to announce and proudly present OUR LADY PEACE (Buy Tickets) as the feature 2009 headliner.

The multiple MuchMusic and Juno award winning band will headline the Summerfest mainstage on Friday August 28, 2009 at Bell Park.
Fans can look forward to hearing a combination of past hits and new releases from the band’s new album, Burn Burn.
Summerfest just gave you a great reason to enjoy your vacation close to home. Summerfest again raises the bar and announces a spectacular line-up for 2009 featuring great music throughout the 4-day festival from Thursday, August 27th to Sunday, August 30th.

Summerfest presents an extensive line-up of recording artists that includes East-Coast hip-hop heavyweight Classified, marking the 2009 release of his 11th studio album and major label debut with his hit “Is Anybody Listening”. Also on the same stage is Karl Wolf with his #1 hit Africa, the Toto remake that has been topping the charts across Canada and other parts of the world.

For those who want to enjoy classic sounds, Summerfest brings you That 70’s Nite! with the return of the ever-popular Stampeders to the Summerfest stage and featuring timeless American performer whose music defined the sound of the 70’s, The Edgar Winter Band …with hits such as Free Ride and Frankenstein, staples of classic rock radio playlists around the world.

Summerfest closes the show with Canada’s own Colin James whose solid playlist of blues and rock needs no introduction, a definite international crowd pleaser.
This year, as it does every year, Summerfest will showcase even more of Sudbury’s great talent. “Sudbury is bursting at the seams with amazing musical talent and Summerfest is always proud to feature our local talent,” said Summerfest Director of Entertainment, Vic Theriault. “Summerfest has always supported and nurtured local talent by annually presenting some of this City’s finest artists

Back again for 2009 is the professional trick skiing show with their ballet on skis, human pyramids and spins, twirls and jumps and comedy that always amaze and delight! -a Sudbury favourite. The park will be alive with music and activities such as the percussion stage, children’s performers, stiltwalking juggling, circus performer and a carnival.

Sudbury SummerFest is run entirely by volunteers. From members of the Board, the organizing committee, grounds crew, stage hosts, food and beverage servers, runners, all are giving of their time to this festival. The contribution by each volunteer is key to the success of the community driven event. We are proud of our volunteers.
